The nice folks over at Heavy Leather NYC were kind enough to send us at the Music Gear Daily office a couple of their new high end guitar straps for review recently. If the style is to your taste they are definitely high quality, handcrafted leather goods. The leather is very soft and seems that it would last a lifetime. They are heavy with all of the ornamentation, and may not fit everyone’s taste but if quality leather is your bag, these won’t disappoint. If they’re good enough for Lemmy, they’re good enough for you

Strymon has just announced a preview of a new delay pedal on their web site blog. It’s called the BBD and is a DSP based implementation of an analog delay with true bypass and tap tempo.

from the site: “BBD takes the compact aluminum chassis and form factor developed for the OB.1 and crams in a TON of DSP horsepower … more than has ever existed in such a compact pedal. We love analog delays but at the same time they pose some serious limitations. So, we decided to take a super powerful SHARC DSP and dedicate to doing one thing and one thing only … delivering the best analog bucket brigade delay sound ever.”

Hi All. Sorry no posts as of late. My wife and I have been vacationing in Hawaii … new content next week !
As an aside, after hearing the native Hawiian Ipu Heke drum, I thought that it could make a pretty great hip hop kick or even a kick/snare combo depending on how it’s played.

“The factory first offered the model 331, nicknamed the lightshow guitar, in 1970. It was the psychedelic spin-off of the model 330. Stephen F. Woodman and Marshall Arm created the initial design for the 331 and then licensed Rickenbacker to develop and manufacture it. Rickenbacker dropped the 331 from the pricesheets in 1975.”
