Synth Orchestras

I’ve always been curious about movie soundtracks and how they are made. Obviously for big-budget movies an orchestra is used and that is as it should be. However, I am growing more and more impressed with some of the classical instrument synths out there. In particular, I have used the East West sound library to do some scores for Robot Love Productions and have been very pleased with the result.

I have found that more time spent getting the velocity of the notes right can really make the difference in the realism of the instruments. Feel free to post scores you have done and with which synths or products, perhaps we can get a pretty good list going that musicians can refer to

Below is a score that I did for the short Chad. I did use a V-Drum set to trigger some percussion, it helped with the inflections.
