Rewire Reason Into Acid Pro

Posted on 02 March 2013 by MasterDelight

Diode asked me to do a tutorial on how I got my midi drums hooked into Acid all the while hooked into Reason’s great bank of drum sounds. In order to get a handle on this you must first be comfortable with rewiring Reason into Acid Pro. I looked around YouTube for a minute and found Powderspazz’s tutorial on doing just that.

Check out his tutorial to get a sense of this technique. It’s something that can come in handy for any recording environment if you need some quick inspiration or a sound that you just can’t get. Reason is great for getting just about any digital synth sound imaginable and can also act as an excellent drum machine

Tutorial – Propellerhead Reason – Subtractor Basics

Posted on 15 February 2013 by MasterDelight

I’m a huge fan of Reason, ever since I got my hands on it about 7 or 8 years ago I knew this was a music software playground. Fast forward to present day and I am still figuring out all the knobs and cabling that lead to more awesome sounds and better songs. So, when this came in my email box yesterday I couldn’t wait to share it on MGD. Enjoy!

“Product Specialist Mattias Häggström Gerdt is back with another tutorial for you. This time, he returns to synthesizer square one with a look at the most basic but very powerful Subtractor synthesizer. Become a subtractive synthesis sound design powerhouse with this new tutorial from Mattias.”
